Welcome to the complete picture online tutorial for our microgeneration software. The online tutorial provides an overview of how to use the software, it is important to note this tutorial does not provide detailed information regarding the sap specification.
For all Microgeneration projects the first five sections of the software are common to all projects. Please see the first tutorial for an explanation of the basic project information required.
- This covers the basic default settings for a project. Here you need to select the project type in order to proceed.
- In the dwelling section calculating the volume from the dimensions of dwelling.
- In the Construction Section covers calculation of the heat losses from the external elements, Walls, roofs and floors. Plus losses through thermal bridging.
- The Window Section covers the calculation of losses through all openings, Windows, roof windows and doors. Also covered are the solar gains attributable to the windows. Window options include default window types from the sap specification, manufacturers data and Windows systems approved by FENSA.
- The Heating Section covers wet primary, water and secondary heating systems. These are the parameters of the existing heating system used to calculate the energy consumption of the house
