Welcome to the complete picture online tutorial for our sap calculation software. Our software is used in conjunction with the NAPIT accreditation scheme for new build housing.
The online tutorial provides an overview of how to use the software, it is important to note this tutorial does not provide detailed information regarding the sap specification. The tutorials are split into sections as follows: Project summary, Dwelling Dimensions and Ventilation. This covers the basic default settings for a project calculating the volume from the dimensions of dwelling and ventilation options for both "as designed" and "as built" In the Construction Section covers calculation of the heat losses from the external elements, Walls, roofs and floors. Plus losses through thermal bridging. The Window Section covers the calculation of losses through all openings, Windows, roof windows and doors. Also covered are the solar gains attributable to the windows. Window options include default window types from the sap specification, manufacturers data and Windows systems approved by FENSA. The Heating Section covers wet primary, water and secondary heating systems. The Renewables Section covers the implementation of photovoltaic, wind turbines and new technology covered by appendix Q. The BEDF Section shows the user how to update the online boiler database, add a contact and import a project file. Lastly the Report Section covers the generation of reports and energy performance certificates. |
